A fun, English-speaking stage school for ages 6–18

LIPAA is a friendly, weekend performing arts academy in Ljubljana. We provide a space for children and teenagers (6–18 years) to learn Acting, Singing, and Dancing and confidently Perform in a supportive, English-speaking international environment.

We believe that Performing Arts should be for everyone. Whether your child is naturally outgoing or needs a little help building their confidence, our doors are open. By teaching in English, we help our students gain a valuable life skill while they have fun, make new friends, and experience the thrill of being on stage. At LIPAA, we aren't just teaching steps and scripts, we’re helping kids grow into confident, happy young people.

Throughout the year our students will also have the opportunity to take part in showcases and performances, celebrating their progress and experiencing the excitement of performing in front of an audience. We are also introducing workshops led by industry professionals, including actors, dancers, choreographers and performers from film, theatre and television. This will giving students the chance to learn from experienced creatives and gain insight into the wider world of the Performing Arts.

Our Classes

A fun-filled introduction to the performing arts! We use games and creative activities to help younger children explore their imagination and build their confidence in English naturally through performance.

The Juniors (Ages 6-11)

A great place for teens to develop their skills, express themselves, and build their confidence and stage presence. We focus on technique and performance in a way that is challenging but always encouraging.

  • Not at all. LIPAA is open to all experience levels, from complete beginners to students with previous performance or dance experience. We focus on helping every student grow in confidence and ability at their own pace.

  • Sessions include a combination of acting, singing, movement/dance exercises, creative workshops, rehearsals and performance activities. Students work both individually and as part of a team.

  • Yes. Throughout the year students will have opportunities to take part in showcases and performances, allowing them to celebrate their progress and gain valuable stage experience.

  • We keep our groups intentionally small to ensure that every student receives individual attention and support.

  • Students should wear comfortable black clothing they can move freely in. We recommend plain black leggings or plain black tracksuit bottoms, along with a plain black T-shirt and suitable indoor trainers or dance shoes.

    More specific costume requirements may occasionally be provided for performances or showcases.

  • Not at all. While some students may wish to pursue performing arts professionally in the future, LIPAA is primarily focused on confidence, creativity, communication and personal growth. Our sessions are designed to benefit all young people.

  • To help students feel fully comfortable and focused, regular classes are typically closed to parents. However, parents will have opportunities to watch performances, showcases and selected open sessions throughout the year.

  • Yes. We offer trial/taster sessions for students who would like to experience LIPAA before committing to a full term.

  • We understand that students may occasionally miss classes due to illness or other commitments. While missed sessions are non-refundable, we will always do our best to help students catch up where possible.
